What We Do

Residential Program

Residential Program

Here at Hanna Academy, we create a nurturing community that is fully committed to our students' success and well-being. From our academic curriculum to our inclusive and supportive environment, we address the impact of trauma and empower students to envision a brighter future.

Hanna Academy has recently gained approval from the California Department of Education to accept residential students at our non-public school. Starting on February 1, 2024, Hanna Academy will welcome student residents.

Hanna Academy's residential program offers an opportunity for youth who reside too far away from the school to live on campus while receiving an specialized education and support. With a student-to-staff ratio of one staff member to six students, our residential program goes beyond school hours to provide recreation and case management.

In order to be admitted, students must have an IEP and be referred to the Hanna Academy program by their current school district.

Our residential program encompasses dorm life, health and nutrition, and counseling services. Students experience a group living environment that fosters friendships and includes structured daily activities. Counseling and casework services are provided to help students manage stress, resolve conflicts, heal from trauma, and improve their relationships. We also offer sports and recreation programs to promote teamwork, physical fitness, and a healthy lifestyle. By choosing the residential program, students will discover new opportunities for learning, personal growth, and success.

Ultimately, Hanna Academy is dedicated to facilitating change and supporting students as they navigate challenging transitions and develop into responsible, compassionate adults.
