Nick, a bright student with severe ADHD, whose struggles in traditional schools led to disruptive behavior and isolation. After attempts at public school and homeschooling, his parents found Hanna Academy, where small classes and individualized support transformed his experience. Now, Nick is thriving, feeling truly seen and supported for the first time in his academic journey.

Hanna Academy will soon complete its first year of incorporating a new Career Technical Education (CTE) program. For decades, we have benefitted from wonderful art, woodshop, welding, and agricultural programs, which were offered as electives. Now, every student’s school day consists of core classes as well as the CTE curriculum.
Summer break is more than an escape from school — it can be a time for fun and relaxation, an escape from the weekday rut. But summer break can bring unique challenges, too — especially to the mental health of young people and their families.
