Ken Shepherd
Ken Shepherd has been a dedicated member of the Hanna Center team since 1992 and currently serves as the Wellness Instructor for Hanna Academy. Over his 32-year career, Mr. Shepherd has held a variety of roles, including Recreation Specialist, Recreation Coordinator, Recreation Manager, and Physical Education teacher. Before joining Hanna, he worked for Glendale Parks and Recreation in Los Angeles and Juvenile Hall in San Rafael.
Mr. Shepherd earned a BA in Physical Education from California State University, Northridge. He also holds certifications in CPR/First Aid, Water Safety, Trauma-Informed Care, Crisis Prevention, and Behavior Professional Training.
In his Wellness classes, Mr. Shepherd strives to instill the importance of maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle beyond graduation. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness training, traveling, dining out, and spending quality time with his wife, adult children, friends, and family.
